
Marketing and Promotions Internships:
1. The Eurasia Center/Eurasian Business Coalition (EBC), based in America's
capital Washington, D.C., is looking for a talented, self-motivated,
intelligent, outgoing, and well-organized individual to assist with marketing
and research activities for our expanding outreach and development efforts
with Embassies of various Eurasian nations located in the Washington, D.C.
metropolitan area, their home countries, and key American businesses,
lobbying firms, professional organizations, economic development
agencies, and all levels of governments. The accepted candidates will
assist with researching and identifying those Embassies which have
the greatest interest in reaching key American investment, economic
development, lobbying, high technology, export/import, education, and
government leaders. The accepted candidates will work with the Eurasia
Center's Executives to research contact information about and reach
potential corporate sponsors, customizing presentation materials, creating
enhancements to the Center/EBC web sites, and working with existing
individual and corporate supporters on program implementation. The
position requires strong research, communication, organizational, and web
design skills (a plus). Experience with basic Database/Excel/Windows.
The Eurasia Center interns must be self-reliant and able to work at their
campus on specific research projects while assisting the Center with
a number of events. The monthly "Evening with the Embassy" series,
topical roundtables, and international social events cater to sophisticated
Eurasian Embassies staff members, Ambassadors, along with well-
known personalities who represent all segments of the Washington, D.C.
international relations and development community. An entrepreneurial
spirit as well as initiative will be appreciated. We seek candidates who
are independent, self-motivated, and who appreciate the long-term
impact of The Eurasia/EBC programs and activities to foster even greater
understanding, communications, trade, and investments between Eurasia
and America.
Candidates should:
Be working towards a degree in the social sciences, marketing, business management, international economics, mass communications, or related fields;
Have experience with Internet research, MS Excel, and proficiency in Microsoft Word;
Have excellent written and communication skills in English and his/her native language;
Certain days in each month will require evening duties such as "Evening
with the Embassies" registration, greeting, and media recording,
registrations at selected international social events, providing hosting
services at topical roundtable presentations or debates, among other
activities.
The position is open to start immediately and continue throughout the
semester for which selected and possibly beyond, based upon mutual
agreement between The Eurasia Center and the respective intern.
eMarketing Internship:
2. The Eurasia Center/Eurasian Business Coalition (EBC), based in America's capital Washington, D.C., is looking for a talented, self-motivated, intelligent, outgoing, and well-organized individual to assist with eMarketing of its outreach and development efforts with Embassies of various Eurasian nations located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, their home countries, and key American businesses, lobbying firms, professional organizations, economic development agencies, and all levels of governments.
Requirements:
Acute attention to detail;
Outstanding copy writing skills;
Basic understanding of search engine technology;
Basic understanding of managing online media campaigns;
Proficient in conducting research online;
Knowledge of HTML, Dreamweaver, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint;
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment;
Strong communication skills, motivated, creative with the ability to self- manage as a team player who enjoys working in a diverse environment;
Analyzing and creating keyword targets for potential sponsors and members Search Engine marketing program, with on line research; and creative public service announcements;
Communicating with potential sponsoring businesses and organizations under the direct supervision of a member of the 'Executive Committee';
Motivated and creative as a self-starter including working in an environment which emphasis the ability to self-manage;
Analyzing campaign effectiveness;

Information Technology Internship:
3. The Eurasia Center/Eurasian Business Coalition (EBC), based in The Eurasia Center/Eurasian Business Coalition (EBC), based in America's capital Washington, D.C., is looking for a talented, self- motivated, intelligent, outgoing, and well-organized individual to assist the organization's technology needs, including the website, database, expansion of the WIFI, and network activities. The IT Intern will assist the Executives at the Eurasia Center and other interns with various projects to support the organization's technological needs. The intern may be asked to perform any or all of the following tasks:
Requirements:
Assist with the development of the organization's photographs archives and database;
Scan images, build the database, and maintain the archive of photographic originals;
Assist with website updates using the publishing tool and basic HTML knowledge;
Database projects as assigned utilizing the organization database iMIS.

More Web work could be available to the intern based on his or her skill
level with HTML and ASP. Work will include assisting with updating and
possibly redesigning the current organizational websites, linking the
organizational websites to those of the various Embassies and their home
countries, and entering all submissions from the various Embassies and key
leaders of their home countries into the organizational websites on a timely
and as needed basis through direct assignment by a specified member of
the 'Executive Committee'.
Skills:
HTML, Adobe Photoshop, and Web development skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Strong ability to learn software programs and teach the 'Executive Committee' and other interns on how to use them.
Ability to communicate and interact with staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Have excellent written and communication skills in English and his/her native language;
Be resourceful and able to multi-task and maintain organizational skills with little direct supervision;
Be self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and responsibility for timely execution of assigned tasks;
The ideal candidate for this position has:
Prior knowledge of the information technology field through academic
preparation and practical working experience in information technology or
a related subject. The position is open to start immediately and continue
throughout the semester for which selected and possibly beyond based upon
