Building Positive Relations Among Peoples of the Americas, Europe and Asia (Eurasia)

International Security

With the Strategic Arms Control Reduction Treaty (START) set to expire on February 5, 2026, the United States and Russia have not taken the steps necessary to renew the Agreement. Despite the current efforts to end the Ukraine-Russia conflict, nuclear arms control becomes increasingly important given the strategic tension around the globe. Failure to implement the new START Treaty will have disastrous consequences as it may lead to an unbridled nuclear arms race, not only among nuclear nations but also motivate other nations to seek nuclear arms in this challenging environment.

The America-Eurasia Center’s International Security Program calls on America, Russia, and China to focus on achieving curbs on nuclear arms rather than spending billions for an arms race without end.

The America-Eurasia Center

created a new, exciting Foreign Policy Series in Washington, DC:

Preventing Nuclear War and Determining a New Strategy for Peace?

Occurred on Thursday, November 20th

The America-Eurasia Center &

The Arms Control Association

There were successful presentations on the need to develop new strategies for peace on the international level, which would be beneficial in enhancing the security of all nations and peoples.

Please feel free to donate more to help support our move to our new Offices on K St. NW

It included A Special Foreign Policy & Networking Party to Follow

PREVENTING NUCLEAR WAR  is the most important issue of our day, especially given the fact that we live in Washington, DC, one of the most targeted cities in the world. Will our future be secure, our children’s future?

What should have been a century of peace after the end of the Cold War, started by Reagan and Gorbachev, has unraveled, and now we are faced with a hidden arms race. It is an unbridled arms race as China and North Korea expand their nuclear forces, as hypersonic missiles evolve and force a new arms race in outer space. Our panel will discuss these and many more developments. Russia's war in Ukraine has also opened the possibility of war between Russia and NATO. Russia, China, the US, and many other nations are now involved in an East vs West global strategic competition, which may provoke nuclear war. We wish to engage our audience about their perspectives on these issues as well.

Featured Speaker: Daryl G. Kimball has been Executive Director of the Arms Control Association (ACA) and publisher and contributor for the organization’s monthly journal, Arms Control Today, since September 2001. For more than two decades at ACA, Kimball has led the organization’s education, research, and policy advocacy campaigns on a range of issues, including cancellation of new nuclear weapons programs, negotiation and ratification of the 2010 New START agreement, opposition to the controversial U.S.-India nuclear cooperation agreement, the conclusion of the 2015 P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran, efforts to promote entry into force of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty and strengthen implementation of the nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, the negotiation of the 2014 Arms Trade Treaty, and strengthening the taboo against chemical weapons. He is a frequent expert source for reporters and policymakers, and has written and spoken extensively about nuclear arms control, disarmament, non-proliferation, and the effects of weapons production, testing, and use. Other Nuclear Arms Control Experts will present.

Join the Eurasia Center as we continue to provide solutions to the difficult foreign policy questions of our time – North Korea-Ukraine-Russia, Israel-Gaza-Lebanon-Iran, and China rising.

We ask ourselves tough questions:

  1. Are we close to seeing World War III at a movie theater nearby?
  2. What world will we leave for our children?
  3. How will we respect our planet and our environment?
  4. How will we address the importance of women in our society?
  5. Can we support the Arts as a bridge of hope among nations and use cultural diplomacy for peace and understanding?
  6. Will we hide in the comfort of our daily routine and our life, “our niche/bubble,” and not engage ourselves in the world around us?
  7. Are we going to continue to live a selfish life and make the world a better place only for our immediate family and friends, and not seek to help others in need, forgetting about our extended human family?

Letter from The America-Eurasia Center to America and Eurasia

Good Morning America and Good Morning Europe & Asia (Eurasia)

While many Americans trace their roots to the nations of Europe and Asia, some still retain their mother tongue; other descendants of our early pioneers seek to discover their Old World heritage, one thing is certain...Europe and Asia are in chaos.   With Russia's war in Ukraine, or the current crises in Taiwan/South China Sea, or in the Middle East, with Israel and Hamas, Iran, and Yemen, THE WORLD IS IN CRISIS. Parts of Eurasia are on fire or waiting to explode America, as a great power, since WWI and WWII, can either embrace "the America First mentality" and ignore the rest of the world, or decide that its founding ideals and principles are still worth inspiring other citizens around the global, as our nation can once again send a beacon of hope, as it has done from the early days of our struggle for Independence to the rest of the world, that ideals and freedoms that are the necessities of human dignity are worth fighting for.

We, at The America-Eurasia Center, seek to build positive relations among the nations and peoples of America, Europe and Asia(Eurasia). However, that does not mean turning a blind eye to the unjust and inhumane practices being conducted by other nations against their people and citizenry.   In Russia, one man, Alexei Navalny, dared to voice his opposition to the theft of democracy and protest against the rampant corruption within Russia. He sacrificed his life to make a statement and has become a martyr for the Democracy Movement within Russia. Many people in various nations in Eurasia have had their democratic future robbed within the past several years, including Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Ukraine, and Myanmar, among others. As Americans, we may not be able to influence or change the authoritarian minds of dictators ruling countries within Eurasia, but we can make it known that we do not condone such behavior. The winds of change will bring new leaders, new ideas, and new hope to those who are enslaved by their rule. The road of history is littered with tyrants and despots who failed by enslaving their own people and trying to expand their aggressive rule over neighboring nations and peoples.

The gift of democracy from Ancient Greece and the idea of the Republic from Ancient Rome are part of the heritage that our Founding Fathers embraced to start the great American Experiment in Democracy. It is an experiment that survived the National Nightmare of January 6th, but as with any civil society in America or around the globe, if strong men and strong women do not stand up for their rights, then radicals or usurpers can alter the very course of history and lead nations and peoples down dangerous and treacherous paths.  These are the lessons of history - the demagogue, the dictator, the usurper, from ancient times until the present. Good citizens must demand a system that gives a chance for all citizens to organize and form political parties in order to enable fair elections and honest leaders to come forward and thrive. Only then can citizens be proud of their government and begin to trust their government officials, rather than having what has occurred in Belarus continue, which is the true theft of a democratic election and the abuse of its own citizenry by a dictator-in-chief. Some may be willing to live like sheep and agree to the powers that be, yet only when good citizens unite and resist, in whatever way they can, then ultimately the legacy of the dictator, the demagogue, and the usurper, and their supporters, end. It is time to recognize the illusion painted by state propaganda on state television or media, which consistently denies the truth. Such lies place the lives of its own viewers in jeopardy. To ignore the safety and health of the citizenry is to be negligent of the most basic rules of government - to protect the citizenry, to guarantee its general welfare. To believe in conspiracy theories is becoming an international sickness, a virus of its own making, spread via the internet to deceive weak-minded individuals during dangerous times.

The America-Eurasia Center supports the ideals of America. The freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and the right to petition.  President Roosevelt offered four freedoms in his Annual Address to Congress on January 6, 1941  -  the four freedoms - freedom of worship, press,  freedom from want, and freedom from fear.  Please consider supporting our efforts to support the ideals of peace, liberty, and toleration, which form the backbone of our nation.

Thank you for your grassroots support over the past 35 years, as we continue to find solutions to "Help the World Find Peace." Please consider supporting our Programs as we continue to deliver Great Projects and Great Programs! We have new offices at 1717 K Street NW, Washington, DC, and we will be organizing important discussions with the authors and leaders of our time.

The World is in turmoil. Nations are leaving arms control treaties. There is an uncheck arms race among all nations and there are a larger number of hot spots across Europe and Asia which can ignite to create future wars, not to mention the accidental firing of nuclear weapons or terrorist obtaining weapons of mass destruction. Washington, DC, Moscow, Paris, London, Beijing, Tokyo, etc. and all the nations of the world are at risk. Let us not forget the great peace dividend which Presidents Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev gave us years ago, when we chose an alternative road away from Armageddon toward peace. Your home, your city, your town, or your village will be at risk in the future if like-minded people do not band together and express the need to choose an alternative path for world development. The previous two World Wars occurred with the same troubling nationalist rivalries that are happening today. John F. Kennedy fought in World War II and went to the brink of war during the Cuban Missile Crisis...yet he gave his greatest speech linked below for reducing the arms race for the success of Liberty.

The America-Eurasia Center is the only think tank in America addressing these crises in a holistic fashion and offering alternatives. Help fund our Nine Programs which are designed to build positive relations among nations and help the America-Eurasia Center experts continue to come up with solutions to address these important issues. We reach out to over 300,000 people who are interested in international affairs, the ideals of peace and freedom, and what America should stand for. We embrace other peoples of the world as we seek to understand their cultures and ideas, as we seek to build long lasting friendships and peaceful relations.

Presidents Reagan and Gorbachev Prove that Arms Control Agreements Are Possible

and Peoples of Differing Systems of Government Need not View each other as Enemies
