America-Eurasia Business Coalition

The Eurasian Business Coalition (EBC) is an alliance of business from America, Europe and Asia (Eurasia) who have joined together to promote investment, trade, and cooperation between the nations of East and West. EBC is a program of the Eurasia Center which brings together top trade and economic organizations and specialists who analyze and advise business executives, companies, and entrepreneurs on important commercial issues in order to promote fair trade and business among companies in America, Europe, and Asia.

The Coalition was formed under The Eurasia Center in order to assist companies in understanding the new changes in world trade and deal with the practical aspects of doing business in the 103 countries of Eurasia. EBC’s members range from Fortune 500 Corporations to small- and mid-size firms throughout America, Europe, and Asia. Each member realizes that in order to build and develop a positive business environment where its products and services can become established and thrive, bridges and coalitions must be formed to strengthen bonds that will not break even in times of crises. These bridges can only serve to strengthen the fundamental business interests of each member abroad.

EBC strives to provide businesses with key analysis and advices through the following activities: Research: Publications, Lecture Series, Economic Analyses, Business Conferences, and Policy Recommendations

“Evening with the Embassy” Series

The “Evening with the Embassy” series establishes even more meaningful and long-term relationships with the various ambassadors and their key Embassy personnel. Incorporated into this goal is hosting one “Evening” at each of the 103 nations recognized by The Eurasia Center. Ambassadors of Eurasia form the Honorary Board of EBC and the Eurasia Center. This effort further establishes The Eurasia Center and its Eurasia Business Coalition as the leaders in Washington, D.C. and abroad for ever increasing communications, understanding, investments, trade, and travel between Eurasia and America.

Participation in the “Evening with the Embassy” is actively promoted to key American investors, businesses, high technology firms, economic developers, bankers, government officials, educators, research institutes, and non-governmental organizations. All organizations take a meaningful part in the monthly events as well as becoming active members of the Eurasian Business Coalition (EBC) with automatic membership in the Eurasia Center.

EBC’s Research Efforts:

The Coalition has conducted important research on the following issues: Doing Business with the BRICS Nations, Doing Business with the Nations of the Silk Road, Developing Long-Term Business, Opportunities in China, Investing in Central Europe, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam in the Eurasia, The Effects of the WTO on Business Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Protection. Now EBC is shifting gears to focus on the development of business in a Covid Environment. It is focusing on efforts to understand the issues between nations that set up barriers to trade, whether it be sanctions, or greater military influence in a region that is open to free trade and international rights of navigation. Thus, EBC hopes to involve America and Eurasia in a new reassessment of how geopolitics can either help or hurt trade among nations, trade among peoples.
