Europe

Europe is the second smallest continent, spanning approximately 10.18 million square kilometers, which is about two percent of the Earth’s surface. It is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and Asia to the east. Europe has played a pivotal role in the development of Western culture, particularly during the rise and fall of empires such as the Roman Empire. This region has seen significant advancements in art, science, and philosophy over the centuries.

European countries have spread their influence to other parts of the world, blending European and Asian cultures. The continent is home to globally recognized landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The creation of the European Union has been crucial in promoting cooperation among its member states, contributing to a prolonged period of peace across the continent.

However, this peace has been disrupted by recent events, including the conflict in Ukraine, triggered by the Russian military actions. This conflict has resulted in severe consequences not only for Europe, which faces an energy crisis, but also for regions like Africa and Asia, which depend on Ukraine as a significant food supplier. The international community, including Europe, the United States, and other allies, continues to support Ukraine amidst this crisis.
